1.      Florida Tuskers

The Tuskers again top the power rankings following a dominating win over Las Vegas on the road.  Brooks Bollinger looks to be the league's top player, as he now leads the leauge in passing yards (535), completion percentage (76%), touchdowns (7), and completions (44).  The Tuskers have also run the ball well Tatum Bell, Michael Pittman, and Shaud Willaims splitting the load.  The Tuskers defense also appears to top unit in the league having only allowed 28 points in their first two games.  Defensive standouts Odell Thurman and Patrick Chukwurah lead the league in tackles and sacks respectively. The Tuskers play at home this week against the 1-1 Redwoods who hope to see more offensive improvement in week three with Mike McMahon again getting the starting job.

Today the United Football League announced that the New York Sentinels released linebacker Alfred Fincher.  Fincher recorded 4.5 tackles in the team's opening loss at Florida and three tackles last week in the loss to California.  The Sentinels are currently on their bye week and will face California in Giants Stadium next Thursday.

Today the UFL announced that New York released wide reciever Lance Leggett, California added linebacker Johnny Baldwin, and Florida signed center Ben Wilkerson.  Leggett had no catches in the Sentinels week two game versus the Redwoods, but did catch two passes for 11 yards versus the Tuskers in the team's opener.

Baldwin, 25, was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 5th round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Alabama A&M.  In 2007, Baldwin played in his only NFL action with the Kansas City Chiefs, recording three tackles in three games.  Baldwin has also been a member of the Washington Redskins and the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers in his professional career.

Wilkerson, 26, was an undrafted free agent pickup by the Cincinatti Bengals in 2005 out of LSU.  He enjoyed a noteworthy collegiate career as a Tiger, winning the 2003 BCS National Championship and sharing the Dave Rimington Trophy (given to the best college center) with David Baas in 2004.  Wilkerson has played in 32 games in his pro career for the Bengals and Atlanta Falcons.  Wilkerson was undoubtedly brought in to provide depth at the center position.  Enoka Lucas is now the expected starter for the Tuskers after Gene Mruczkowski went down for the season with a torn ACL and MCL.
